CNY Screenshot The Chinese New Year screen saver uses OpenGL for accelerated 3D graphics. It makes use of the following features:

smoke, sparks and explosion particle systems
sky box
free movement anywhere in the world (you can also go all the way up and have the fireworks blow in your face ;)
add / remove the number of rockets to achieve optimum performance on your machine
source code also shows how to load wave files and mix them in real time
